Compare Living Cost is designed to work without behavioral profiling. The site’s own code does not set cookies in this release.

Local browser preference

Your display-currency preference can be stored in your browser’s localStorage so currency display stays consistent between pages. This is a local preference, not a personal city-cost profile.

Comparison URLs

The interactive comparison can put selected cities, display currency and an optional salary amount/currency in the page URL as query parameters. That makes a comparison shareable, but it also means those values can appear in browser history, copied links, server request logs or any place where you choose to share the URL. Do not put sensitive information in the optional salary field.

Analytics

No third-party analytics provider is configured in this release, so no analytics tracking request is made by the site. If non-essential analytics are introduced later, they must be opt-in before loading.

Contact form

If the Netlify form is enabled in production, information you submit through the contact form is used to respond to your message or investigate the data issue you report. Do not submit information you do not want included in that request.

Cost data and external links

City-cost records are public research/model data and are not personalized from your private information. Source links lead to third-party sites with their own privacy practices.
